WEB applicationsThe service spectrum ranges from professional scientific data recall through library services to end-user information systems and the development and operation of applications, including the related servers. S&T is a full service provider for everything from customer needs analysis to applications design, implementation, operation and maintenance.
With 30 years of experience in supporting complex business processes, the Science & Technology team possesses tremendous expertise that it can draw on for demanding IT projects. And as service provider for a global corporation, S&T has accumulated a wealth of industry-specific knowledge. The overarching goal of this unit is to identify new technology trends at an early stage, developing and implementing them for its customers’ benefit.
The Science & Technology business unit offers about ten internships each year for advanced students of information technology, business IT and other applied IT disciplines. Such internships may be a compulsory part of university studies or constitute voluntary occupational training. The minimum duration of an internship is four months. In general, internships can be completed at any BBS site in Germany or other countries.
Science & Technology also offers students the opportunity to write their thesis on a topic related to work processes within the business unit. Note: a prior internship makes it easier to choose an interesting topic and a suitable advisor.
